ABC-Washington Post poll released Friday April 4, 2003

The American public's optimism about the war in Iraq has grown as the troops have been advancing on Baghdad in recent days, a new poll suggests.

Seven in 10, 71 percent, said they approve of the president's overall job performance and about the same number, 73 percent, support the United States going to war with Iraq.

People are seeing the positive effect we are having on the Iraqi people and plus the Democrats keep shicking their foot in their mouths.

As long as the Democrats act like they are now the Republicans will be in power a very long time!

As a whole U.S. citizens are compassionate and they are seeing the smiles and jubilation of the Iraqi people as they are being liberated.

The democrats are scrambling to come up with something quick.

Approve of the war

March

14th-15th 56%
24th-25th 71%
29th-30th 71%

Some of the Dems running for Pres. STRONGLY oppose the war. They will have to change their minds or hope that the US changes their minds BIGTIME.

What really pisses me off is that after we win this war the democrats are going to try tell us how to get Iraq on its feet - its pathetic, but I'm not shocked because that is there MO.

If we don't help Iraq get back on its feet fast then they will be kicking back at us even faster. I think the Admin does understand this aspect...I hope.

Funk Soul Bro,
Hello

Yeh, but I'd rather have the prez and the "war hawks" doing it rather than the Joe Bidens of the senate.

Furthermore,

With the Bidens and Hillaries of the senate that means France, Germany, Russia... NATO are involved.

See thats the problem. Either you are selflessly liberating the Iraqi's, or you are invading a country for economic purposes.

If you care about freeing the Iraqis, then a multi billion dollar oil deal with Russia should be of no concern to you, should "New Iraq" choose to make it with them.

If there is a prize for liberation, then its not a just war, its a prize fight.

Joint(laced with PCP) Pleasure,
I'm not sure where to begin with a response to your deep political wisdom.....

Let's get this right, free the Iraqi people from totalitarianism but turn right around and institue that on the American people?
The President wouldn't even be able to engage in this if not for the agreement of the Democrats in Congress. Additionally, your party is all for cutting off your student grants and loans, so no more buying weed and living the worry-free college life.

Idiots like you are the cause of the problem.

cuntin' it - I've got a couple degrees since I was handed a high school diploma. Never had a grant but have had loans which as a republican I felt a responsibility to pay back. And believe me, the worry free college is right; its the four more years after college that starts to get to ya.

You guys are the problem. You want everything for free. Gimmee, Gimmee, Gimmee. Don't spend money to fight a war when you could gimmee that money. etc...

Before you go a step further, you don't know what I want nor should you even come to any conclusion regarding that or lump me into some convenient group.
Nothing is free and I work my ass off. So don't begin to preach to me about what I do and don't do muthafu#*er.

You put me into the doobey smoking crowd - didn't you?

There are too many things that are free - many that I believe shouldn't be. ( Grants ) etc...
