The New England Revolution finally found a way to beat the Houston Dynamo in a Soccer Betting championship match but it wasn’t easy. New England defeated <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Houston</st1:place></st1:City> 3-2 to win the SuperLiga championship on Tuesday. The two teams tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and 2-2 at the end of two 15-minute overtime periods. New England defender Chris Albright scored against Houston goalkeeper Pat Onstad to give the Revolution a 6-5 lead in penalty kicks and New England goalkeeper Matt Reis tipped a shot by Corey Ashe off the crossbar to give the Revolution the win. It was the eight round of penalty kicks.<o:p></o:p>

The game really got exciting in the overtimes. In the first 15-minute overtime, <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Houston</st1:place></st1:City> took the lead when Kei Kamara headed in a cross from Brian Ching in the 98th minute. Just four minutes later <st1:place w:st="on">New England</st1:place>'s Shalrie Joseph headed in the tying goal with an assist from Steve Ralston. <o:p></o:p>
In the first half of the game each team scored. Nate Jacqua scored for <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Houston</st1:place></st1:City> in the 18th minute and Ralston scored in the 41<sup>st</sup> minute.<o:p></o:p>

In the shootout it was <st1:place w:st="on">New England</st1:place> getting goals from Ralston, Joseph and Taylor Twellman while Houston's Craig Waibel, Chris Wondolowski and Ricardo Clark scored for the Dynamo. Since the two teams were tied at 3-3 in the shootout it went to sudden death with with Jeff Larentowicz and Chris Tierney scoring for New England, while Wade Barrett and Kamara scored for <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Houston</st1:place></st1:City>. It then was Albright that scored while Ashe missed and the Revolution got the victory.

The match was a little bit of revenge for <st1:place w:st="on">New England</st1:place>. They have lost the last two MLS titles to the Dyanmo. The Dynamo scored nine goals in their first four SuperLiga matches but could only get one in regulation against the Revolution in the final.<o:p></o:p>
