LAS VEGAS (News 4 & Fox 11) —
With COVID-19 cases on the rise, the Nevada Gaming Control Board says it expects each casino to follow Governor Sisolak's Emergency Directive 045. The Emergency Directive requires each person, including fully vaccinated people to wear a mask inside with counties that have substantial or high transmission rates of COVID-19.
The mask requirement is only lifted in counties with low or moderate transmission of COVID-19 as defined by the CDC for two consecutive weeks. The board says it expects each casino to monitor updates published by the Nevada Health Response for the latest news on which counties will need to follow the mask requirement.
The Board says as Nevada prepares for a rise in COVID-19 cases they will be intensifying the mask requirement to ensure the safety of Nevada's residents and visitors.

The requirement is exactly the same. They probably will bring back a few people to walk around and tell you to put your mask on. Very few people wear a mask when walking on the strip. When sitting at a slot machine, may smoke or drink which means you don't have a mask on. The gaming board just messaged this to fall in line with the new "threat," but notice 300,000 people will be crowded on the strip and downtown and no one is scaling that back.

This sucks I leave to visit folks in San Diego week from Sunday then drive to Vegas. I got vaccine kids got vaccine now my folks don’t want us staying there lol I wouldn’t have done this if not for there request. Went on airbnb to find house to rent however there COVID rental policies total bs. They cancelling flights right and left. Supposed to drive to Vegas Friday the 14th- 18th fly home starting to get way to stressful supposed to be fun time. Just read an article from Oxford Univ omnicron probably not even corona .

Next trip to Vegas is in March for the tournament. If this nonsense isn't relaxed by then , I'm out.. Was in Vegas for my birthday back on the 1st , it really puts a damper on things.

it all depends what establishment you are in, some will enforce some won't.

It was strict months back at Red Rock, where if you didn't chain smoke or pound beers your mask better be up.

Suits would be walking around at the Westgate asking you to slide your mask back on. . Enough to irritate you..I don't like restrictions in anyway when I'm in Vegas.

I agree, I got real defensive at a guy at Sunset Station about a year ago walking around enforcing it like a Karen.

I was drinking and smoking and he said in between puffs pull it up, I'm like really fucker go bust the 100 other people doing the same thing and leave me alone.

I was at the back of the Race Book around Midnight on a Friday, no one was around.

I was there a couple months ago. Elcortez kept reminding me to put my mask on at the BJ table, I was drinking a beer. Ignored it they finally left me alone.
