After working for hours on my taxes, I finally get to the printing stage. Damn printer craps out and makes fuzzy print. Spent an hour and about 20 sheets running maintenance to no avail. Nothing but problems with this Cannon POS. Only had the thing 2 years. Good thing I don't have a baseball bat close by.

Have minimal printing needs. Need printer advice. Is HP the way to go?

I have a graet Brother Laser printer I picked up for 100 dollars. Model is Brother HL-2070N. Incredibly fast. Great price - great brand. Check it out at most local stores, online, etc.

The thing is a workhorse. Small, powerful, and fits nicely on a little drawer table.

I go thru three or four printers a year...have had everything from HP to Xerox to Brother...kept buying bigger and better, but all that does is get more expensive.

Then I bought a little Samsong ML2571 for $100...the thing kicks ass. This little machine has literally saved me hundreds of dollars...

Highly recommend the 2510 or the 2571, they are cheap energizer bunnies
