how do u caculate how much you will win on a bet. For example if odds are -176 or -305 and u wager like 45.00. My friend said its

45*0.176 or 0.305 = the amount won

is that right

No, that is incorrect.

But its late and Ill post the formula later. :lol:


Briefly, if your friend was right, you would get a better return on the .305 favorite than you would on the .176 favorite used in your example.

your bet divided by 1.76 or 3.05 in your scenario, but usually your bet figure is what you want to WIN not LOSE
