Ok I dont download anything but I have a crazy virus. Basically I use Google as my search engine. When I search for something and it will give me my list of results as usual. When I click on a result I am redirected to a advertising site for spyware or virus or whatever. I cant get rid of it with AdAware and AVG cant find it. Can anyone help me with this please!! Thanks in advance.
Ok so I stayed up for hours trying to get rid of this thing and finally did. Just to let you guys know in case it happens to you, this is what I did.
First I ran Adaware and that got 2 problems
Then I ran spybot and that got 9 problems
Then I ran AVG and it found nothing
So at this point spybot is better than Adaware and AVG cant find anything.
The last thing I tried was http://www.superantispyware.com/ This found tons of crap (dont know where its coming from) and removed it. Also the main problem I was having is gone. Created a system restore point and all is well. Just thought I would recommend this to you guys, it works really well.
