I used to play with locals up till about 2 years ago. They used to have "different" lines, and some offered reduced juice. However, with all biases removed, I concluded that the poor hours, the no internet, no exotic wagering made it a no brainer to tell him to take a hike. There are just too many pluses to off-shore for anyone smart to stay with locals. Just my humble opinion. For those of you who love your local, enjoy. For me, I just get more value out of the pinny's etc.
Yes I realize this is not the best way of finding a local. I understand how risky it would be to answer just thought what the heck. I have several offshore accounts and have been only offshore for many years.
The only reason I have recently looked into a local are the problems with transfering money last minute.
Maybe that sheds light on the reason I ask.

if you screwed up your NT, then playing with a local is just asking for your knee caps to be broken

I agree there are some disadvantages to working with a local, you just have to weigh what is more important to you, to make a determination of whether or not to take a chance dealing with a local. I can assure you that if I lived in LV, I would only deal with a local or offshore. For me betting with a casino in LV is not a option that is very attractive.
