:think2: Have been having svere neck pain on the left side for five years but now is getting to the serious mode. Had a epidural with steroids about a month ago and it was great . Pain free for three weeks. My Dr and exrays show no spacage on the vertabrae and some severe arthritus. Don't want to keep getting shots everty months asthat can get expensive. Have tried traction, pain pills, deep tissue massage, chiropractor and everything i can imagine but nothing works more than a day. Someone metioned a new process called decompression therapy. You have to go back between 20 and 30 tomes but never have heard of it. Anyone have any success?

Neck Problems

Well i guess nobody has neck problems or has never heard of decompression therapy. I had my first treatment today and nothing, however the Dr said i would not feel anything until the sixth or seventh treatment. Hope i didn't waste my money, but i was getting desperate with the headaches and lack of motion that accompanied it.:think2:

Never had any serious neck pain. That sounds horrendous.
Sorry, but I also don't know anything about decompression therapy other than a quick google.

I'd be interested to hear how it worked for you.

In the meantime... there are better forums you could look at for people with this problem than a gambling forum. Maybe WebMD or something.

Neck problems

Guess i'll have to try another epidural and steroid shot. Hope this one lasts more than three weeks. It's not worth it having a headache and neckache 24 -7.I think it is a piched nerve , but time will tell.:icon_conf

Whalewager, Don Melchor, Timetopay - all three of you were way out of line in this thread and The Rx.com is not going to tolerate that kind of obscene and abusvie posting. I will be emailing each of you an official warning.

TTP is always starting stuff.

Buddy, I was just kidding. Back and neck problems are nothing to joke about.

I have had surger for L5 S1 and it is the worst pain I have ever felt. Epidural shots didnt work for me an dneither did PT.

Mt wife had to have a bone chip out of her hip placed in between 2 of her vertebrae in her neck. You may have herniated discs or ruptured discs.

Get an MRI. Surgery may really help.

Have you tried a Chiropracter....I went to one when my neck hurt and he over 3 treatments he adjusted it and it has never hurt again .. turned out I had a rib that was out of adjustment in my back causing strain on the neck he popped that thing back in and all is well

[Yes i did and i think they are great. You missed your calling. I get 100 books and they aren't half as good as yours. The advertising that they do is unbelieavable. Thanks again Buddy M. I emailed earlier , but i guess you didn't get it.:suomi:

Have had two different xray's and they don't show any definitive problems. One Dr said it was a narrowing of the disc's due to arthritis. The other said it was a pinched nerve. All i know is for the last year the pain in the morning gets to about a 8 on the pain scale. And this is about 20 hours a day. I have to take pain pills galore and they don't help much. I can't take the good stuff as i'm allergic to codeine. I'm having a MRI next week. I feel this all started from a car wreck 10 years ago and just got worse as time went on.:nono5:
