Everything points to this being a close game. Wisconsin nearing the end of a brutal stretch. Wisconsin with a lot of injuries. Wisconsin offense is not that good. Nebraska undefeated and ranked 7th in the country.

But the oddsmakers make this an 8 point line. Hmmmmm. As Lee Corso says, I'm going with the guys in the desert knowing something we don't. Wisconsin big.

if they would have kicked xtra points every TD which we all know they go for 2 once or twice a game, score still would have been tied at end of regulation, its not like they would have had 40 to neb 35

Had Helfrich kicked the PAT after their last 4 TDs, they woulda built an 8 pt lead with 2 min left. So even when Neb scored the TD, they woulda had to go for 2 just to tie it. Considering 2 pt conversion has a 40% success rate as opposed to 95% for PAT, Oregon woulda been in the driver seat. And I haven't even mentioned the piss poor clock management just prior to the half that directly led to Neb scoring a TD when they shoulda been down 22-7.

There are a dozen coulda-woulda-shoulda plays every game. I can paint a scenarion where Nebraska should have rolled Oregon, too. Neither happened though. NC State should have beat Clemson. Didnt happen.

If your HC kept going for it on 4th down on your own 30 and lost because of it, would you call that coulda-woulda-shoulda? No, everyone would call that STUPIDITY.

Oregon thoroughly dominated the game and if it weren't for Helfrich's piss poor coaching (going for 2 pts after every TD & piss poor clock management), they woulda had a big lead and won going away.

Go back two more plays, 14-7, Nebraska driving easy inside the 20, unforced error and Oregon gets the quick score after a turnover when everything indicated a tie game nearing the half. If NU calls anything other than a flare pass that turned into a pitch, or even executes the play....bad time to call that play, but hey, c..w..s...

You're comparing a player making a play on the field to an idiot coach who thinks he's a genius trying to reinvent the game by doing something completely unconventional and idiotic? If you say so.

Uh, yeah.

Lol

You think a fumble is the same as going for 2pt play after every TD.

Oregon led for 40 mins out of 60. But they didn't dominate. LOL!

Welp just got off the phone with my tout service who is fucking terrible and they are on Wisconsin, should be a good sign for Nebraska backers. I was leaning Wisky but this is a no play for me. FWIW they are also on TCU and Clemson . Which scares the shit out of me because I really like Clemson.

Mango, why are you even arguing about a week 3 game. I've already admitted what everyone already knows that there is no significant win on neb schedule, Oregon was big at the time, but why are u arguing about it. After today, the critics will be put to bed. Picks coming soon! Good luck all

Well we can put this game to rest. I guess all neb could ask for is a chance at the end and they had it. TA is not very good , and was the x-factor against his own team. Oh well nebraska covered so there's a positive note

They'll be in every game. Last week the OSU line would have opened 20.5, early line is 15.

Edit: Armstrong is a career 30% passer vs Wisconsin in 3 games.

As previously mentioned, I liked our matchup vs OSU more, and their game vs NW did nothing to sway me away from those thoughts. Neb and fans prob never thought they would be a top ten team at this point. Everything still lines up with an outside----far outside shot at final 4. now even if they win out and go to Indy, are they one of the top teams in the country, prob not. But if you have a favorite team, and they have a chance to do that, then its hard not to get excited. tOSU is still solid, seems like its between the ears at this point. Nevertheless, if Nebraska finishes 10-2, that means they will go play Michigan (IMO) and although they may get blown out, 10-3, possibly get into a new years 6 or at least a respectable bowl, I think that is an enormous step fwd from last year. just keep getting better, and give yourselves a shot at the end I guess. besides the degenerate games early week, on to week 10. good discussions all, thanks
