3-0 yesterday got the bad taste out of my mouth from the utah/portland debacle on monday night. that utah game was one of those embarrassing posts that come along once or twice over the course of a long season.
played these three for tonight
new jersey (+3.5)
not buying the bulls as a road chalk whatsoever. as i said in another post in this nba forum, no team in the east not named detroit has any business laying road chalk over another playoff bound team. nets might not have a #2 seed to play for, but the #6 seed that is attainable has them definitely playing for something. chicago playing well. but their debacle in toronto 2 weeks ago tells me theyre not a legit road chalk yet.
golden state under 214
given whats at stake for the warriors, i think they will show some (operative word being 'some') defensive intensity tonight. portland has been pretty lame on the defensive end lately but i cant justify a 214 total with the portland trailblazers, esp when combined with a golden state team that can get in with a win.
new orleans (+9.5)
this is more of a situational play. if golden state jumps out to an early lead at 10pm, the clippers could be deflated before they even take the court tonight. at very worst, a reasonable 1h by the hornets could allow me to get rid of this bet at halftime if the warriors are struggling and the clips have something to play for.
