You guys see this article on the front page of covers.com?

"After Monday’s Spurs-Nets game stayed under the total, 32 of the 46 games Mott has officiated have failed to eclipse the total. That’s a 70-percent clip. He’s been especially potent in games that have over/unders between 185-194.5. Twelve of the 15 he’s called with totals in that range have stayed under.

Mott hasn’t been kind to home teams, either. The hosts are 19-27 ATS and just 24-22 straight-up when he’s on the whistle. Road teams are actually averaging more points (99.2) than the home teams (98.9) with the 53-year-old veteran calling the game."

I looked right away .... he's not reffing tonight hehe

Do you think the NBA will talk to him about this? This is a trend that is worth keeping an eye on.

That's a lock. Is it due to the teams he's got, his style of reffing, or random chance?

good question, its not that he decides whether its a 2pt or a 3 pointer, like a ref is calling strikes and balls in bases.

Have any of you guys ever gone on a 32-14 run? I'm sure you have. Doesn't mean you are a 70% capper. Could easily just be random chance. It it was 320-140 then you'd probably have something.

I actually hate basketball and never watch it. Tell me how a ref can help make a game go under? Maybe not calling as many fouls and letting time run???? I don't know

Thing that sucks is that you don't know the refs until just before tip

But ya, ref and ump stats alike can lead to SERIOUS advantage play
