[h=2]Houston Rockets vs Toronto Raptors
Sunday March 6 2016
3 of 3: Today's NBA Pick[/h]Current spread: Toronto Raptors -7.5
The Houston Rockets will travel to Toronto to play the Raptors for the first meeting between the 2 teams this year. Houston played last night in Chicago and lost 108-100 in Jimmy Butlers return. The Rockets will now have to play the 2nd night of a back-to-back on the road against the 2nd place Toronto Raptors. The Raptors have been on fire at home winning 12 straight at home. In their last match up the Raptors lost a sizeable lead to the Trail Blazers but still managed to hang on for a 2 point winning.
The Rockets haven't been playing good basketball as of late losing 7 of their last 10 games. After one of the trades on deadline day didn't go through Motiejunas has returned back to the team. Personally if I was him I would find it hard to play for a team that shipped me out but he's back in Houston for the time being. The Raptors on the other hand have great team chemistry these days. Demar Derozan almost broke the NBA record for most free throws made in a single game without missing one; but he missed the final one. He joked around saying Lowry told him to miss it as he was seen whispering to him prior to the shot. The Raptors can get comfortable at home for the next little while as they play their next 5 games at home.
One of the toughest things to do in the NBA is to play 2 games back-to-back on the road. What's harder is when you play both games against 2 elite teams in the NBA. With the Hack-a-Howard being a potential factor towards the end of the game to prevent the Rockets from coming back, I think the Raptors will cover the spread. Raptors may not need to go to that strategy because it's at home but Casey won't be shy to use it if needed
Dan's pick: Toronto Raptors -7.5
Betting: $330 (3.3 units)
Potential Profit: $300 (3 unit)
