Houston Rockets @ Chicago Bulls
Saturday March 5th 2016
1 of 2 NBA Picks tonight
Current Spread: Chicago Bulls -1
The Houston Rockets will travel to Chicago and take on the bulls in what will be the NBA's only nationally televised game tonight. This is the second and final time the teams will be playing in the regular season. The Rockets took the win in the first game at home by the score of 101 - 90. The Bulls were a lot healthier back then with both Noah and Butler playing big minutes; however, the Bulls are a lot more depleted this time around.
The Chicago Bulls sit just half a game out of the final playoff spot and have been dropping over the last few weeks. The Bulls have been playing horrible since getting hit with the injury bug and almost lost another player early this week. Taj Gibson will return after missing the game against the Magic with a strain hamstring but isn't 100% healthy. The Rockets hold the final playoff spot in the West 2 games ahead of 9th place. They haven't been playing great basketball as of late either losing 6 of the last 9 games. But I was impressed with their last game against the Pelicans where they held Davis to 12 points. It shows they have the potential to contain Pau Gasol tonight too who has been playing sluggish as of late.
Houston's high tempo offense could cause problems for the Bulls tonight. The Bulls defense has fallen off for over a month now not being able to hold a team under 100 points since the Jazz back on February 1st. On top of that the Bulls offense has averaged just under 96 PPG over the last 4 games and with the injury bug still with them I don't think anything will change tonight. If Harden and the rest of the 3-pt specialists on Houston can dial it up from downtown efficiently and if Ariza can contain Rose; it's going to be a long night for the Bulls.
Dan's pick: Houston Rockets +1
Betting: $220 (2.2 units)
Potential Profit: $200 (2 units)
