I realize most of you guys are too young to remember, but Rocky Colavito for Harvey Kuenn. The Rock was 25, coming off back to back 40 HR seasons, loved by the fans and they traded him. Some fans never got over it and the Indians weren't good again until like 35 years later (except for one season, 1968, when they finished 3rd, I think).

Favre

In short, the Falcons management drafted Favre despite their coach not wanting him. He barely played Favre, and when Green Bay offered a first round pick, Atlanta decided to recoup what they paid for Favre. Jerry Glanville thought Brett Favre was never going to amount to anything.

That sucked so bad for my downtrodden Jets as they were going to draft Favre but Falcons took him the pick before and Jets settled for Browning Nagle another bust QB pick. Damn it Glanville, you should have convinced management not to draft him!!
