My yogurt says "Sell by MAY 17/08" Can I eat it?

May 17 was like 2 months ago, it seems a little on the thick side, but it doesn't smell bad or anything. It taste a little different, but I shud be able to eat it, if I really try, or will i most likely get a Tummy ache?

I always wonder the same thing with yogurt or similar products (spaghetti sauce, jelly, etc.).
