bird - my sister also broke her arm once playing softball. she was running to first and tripped over her OWN feet and broke her arm bracing the fall. that is the sis I KNOW! i won the championship when i was in 6th grade. the league was for 7th and 8th graders - but because i was in a 6/7 class i got to play. never mind i was still the best player on the team!
as for jeff "kunt" - my friend is at dodger stadium a few years ago. kent is signing after the game so my friend tries to get him. as he is waiting, he says to kent, "congratulations on your high school alma mater, fountain valley, winning the baseball championship." kent turns to him and says something like, "i went to edison." my friend said he felt about 2 feet tall. as you know - NOTHING is worse in life than being compared to an edison charger. i now ref njb and cif hoops and do a TON of games there - and every time i step in that place i cringe! on top of that - a checker at the ralphs on brookhurst/ellis - that i had the hots for - went to edison, too. good thing we never went out (she turned me down - sigh) for "mixed marriages" never work!
did you ever play on the same fvhs team as steve montgomery? i coached him in youth baseball from 1980-82. he was a stud then! and at fchs - he was unhittable!

the odds on this match do look a bit strange. this serbian guy is ranked 610th in the world according to one site i use. he's 194th currently in the champions race. guy's a stiff, decent doubles player but grass is definitely his worst surface. dent on the other hand is currently ranked around 40th in the world (46th in current champions race) grass is by far his best surface and he's coming off a very good showing last week at stella artois, losing in the qf rd to eventual champ roddick.
bottom line is this- no way in hell zimonjic wins the match vs a healthy dent, but if rail's info is correct and dent is injured, that would be another story.
