where you gonna go post about it at? when it comes to putting my money in a bank and trusting them with it, it is much easier than finding an online book that i can trust with my money. if my bank is wrong, sure, i'll call em, but so far i've been fortunate never to have an issue with a bank. comparing a bank with a sportsbook isn't much of a comparison. maybe compare the book to someone who wants you to front 'em an ounce of weed....what do you know about 'em? with the exception of betus, i've never had an issue with a book that wasn't resolved fairly.
to me, come saturdays and sundays this fall, when i put 500 or more into a book i wanna have the peace of mind of knowing my balance isn't gonna show 0. fuck that. and i've never used skybook, so i'm not questioning their integrity. i'm just saying that as a potential client and as a member of the rx, sharing information is a good service.
the person who started this thread owes it to the forum, in my opinion, to let us know if this issue was resolved satisfactorily.
Well I'll update you then. I DID email them before I posted anything. I remember reading in a thread that they were installing a new software program for the upcoming football season. But I never got an answer, and that's when I posted this thread because I wouldn't get the problem solved in order to get in my bets on time. Fortunately, I had other outs to place my bets.
I was called out by my firm around 4 pm to pick up some legal documents and bring them downtown. When I got back around 5:30 pm, I had an email from David from Skybook. He explained that they were putting in a new system, and that was the cause of the problem. My money would be returned to my account shortly.
It is now after 8 pm PDT and I tried to log in to check my account. I couldn't log in. I tried 3 different browsers and each time the account and password turned blank after I put in my info.
In my return email to David, way before I couldn't log in, I explained to him that if they knew they were going to have problems or might have problems, they should have emailed their clients so they could place their bets before there was a problem.
So right now, the situation is worse than before as I can't even see my account. I'm sure it will all work out and will probably be straightened out by tomorrow morning.
But let me also tell you about a Bet Online story that happened last night.
I went to make a deposit of $200 at BOL. The card I was using was declined. I decided I really didn't have to make a deposit last night so I just shined it on instead of trying another Visa card from Bank of America. About 15 minutes later, I get a call from BOL. He asked me if I would like to try another card that I had successfully made a deposit with before, which was my B of A card. I told him OK. He then said I could get a better bonus if I deposited $300. I told him that was OK. So I assumed the card took since I never got a call back, and going to their site, I saw the money was there. No problem right?
This morning, I got online and started checking my emails. I have one from B of A asking me if I changed my Verified by Visa password. Even though I had been drinking and gambling, I didn't ever remember changing my Verified by Visa password. Since the only Visa card I used for my deposit to B of A was with BOL, I decided to go to Live Chat at BOL.
I asked the person on Live Chat if they had changed my password at Verified by Visa. They told me that they would check. After about 5 minutes, the woman type me a message that yes, an agent had changed my password. WTF!
I wrote them back that since I had just spoken to the agent, WHY didn't he call me back and just ask me what the password was? Not only was it wrong, but they didn't even email me to tell me what the new password was. If I happened to want to make another deposit at another book like Bookmaker who always asks for your Verified by Visa password, I wouldn't have any idea why it was being declined.
So does that take the cake or what? They finally let me know what the password was that he used, and that he would be spoken to and disciplined. They wound up giving me an extra $25 in Bonus Play for my trouble. But that isn't really the point is it?
My bitch with them is the fact that I had approved the deposit about 15 minutes before while talking to the agent. Why couldn't he have just called me back and asked for the password? I wasn't going to change my mind, and I think it was a very underhanded tactic to use, just to get a deposit. Do we all agree on this one? Now I have to go back to Verified by Visa to change my password again. Just a really bad decision by a supposed legit sports book.
