my idea for drunk drivers who kill people

add up the age( s) of the person( s) who were killed & that’s your prison sentence .... for example a drunk driver kills 3 people in a wreck ages 40 , 25 & 10 ........ the drunk driver would get 75 years in prison , I bet that guideline might make people think about drinking & driving . mind you I’m not talking about car accidents in general because those happen but habitual or drunk drivers in general , too many people dying at the hands of drunk drivers

It would make more sense to subtract the average age of death with the age of the victim and get a sentence. For example the average age is like 73. If you kill a 3 year old get 70 years. Only problem is for elderly people. Just make a mandatory 5 year sentence everyone else gets the average life expectancy minus age.
