How do I know what I'm running and what is currently "up to speed"? Appreciate any feedback.

Right-click "My Computer" icon and select Properties. You get the skinny of what you have.

Thanks Data.

Pentium(R) 4 cpu 1.60 Ghz
1.59 Ghz
128 Mb of Ram

How much of a dinosaur is this and how expensive is it to upgrade. I use verizon high speed but big pictures and websites with alot going on move slow.

They recommend getting a GB which isn't expensive. I've never even opened my computer before are they easy to install?

Of course they do but apart from that you do NOT need it, you can alway go 512 now and 512 later.

Yes, just hold the memory modules by their edges avoiding touching soldered microchips.

Hellah-it still runs pretty decent except for big pics. I attribute that to the verizon high speed internet.
