I went to the blog site. If this is real, its totally fucked up, its just plain sad. I don't know if I saw part of myself there or what, its disturbing We're watching a guy commit financial suicide.

Underlying all addictions from heroin, crack, gambling, jacking off, overeating etc etc is a major depression. fucker will probably kill self when he loses all that cash... if its real

Is your friend retarded? Winning back the money he lost using the money his Dad left him, would not make his Dad proud and i would be willing to bet that if his Dad knew he was going to use the money to gamble with, he would have left it all to his other son.

So what are you going to do with it?

Right now the money is in a trust that owns all tax free bonds or tax free bond funds. When the time is right, I'll switch over to stocks and hope the money grows.

Not sure if this is real or not. According to the blog he has lost roughly $50k so far.

Also, who in the world plays poker/blackjack ONLINE at those stakes? It's extremely easy for them to rig those games, and they definitley have the incentive when you're playing high stakes games.

And guess what he plans to gamble all of it. This is from a guy that just ruined his life just a few months back by gambling everything away. He is a really brillant guy but just an idiot with the gambling.

I cant talk him out of it, he feels like he owes his dad(who died) by winning everything back that he lost. He even started a blog at www.gamblinghurts.blogspot.com.

Anyone have any ideas how to stop this, he has not started yet but he plans to today after work. Why do i get the feeling this will be his last day at work.

this may sound dumb but it has worked before. wont go into all the details but seriously do this.

Take him out side with just the 2 of you. ask him for a bill (the higher denomination the better) and burn it. literally light it on fire and watch it slowly burn.

for some reason when you can visually see your money waste away and disappearing you will look at it a little differently. wont instantly work but it may plant the seed.

just try it, it may work. you dont have anything to lose except he may kick your ass after for burning his money :lolBIG:
