Do you stick with one book or do have accounts with many different ones? I know the odds are different in some of them so I was wondering if it was common to roam from book to book.

If you do not have several books you have no chance whatsoever of winning.

If you have to even ask this question you have no chance whatsoever of winning.

I like to have 3 running at the same time. For several reasons.

1) Lines

2) Grading of games

3) Payouts options

and more..

lots of variables to consider depending on the action you are looking for. if you are serious you will want more than one book, shop around. start with pinnacle and the book banners at the top of this page and go to the sites and get a feel for them. ask questions, you will find much help here. good luck!

The more the merrier. I'd start with reduced juice shops - Pinn, Holly, IIS, etc ..

I'd say that you can't be winning if your that bitter towards someone asking a simple question. Actually, I've been doing fine with just one. I did not know that your capability of picking winners in games was determined by how many sportsbooks you belong to. I guess I just rely on smart bets and not getting too greedy.

Great Bonus!!

Hey guys, for those who are looking for great bonuses, Bet Royal is offering 25% Cash if you send Western Union :103631605. The rollover is not that bad, I think is like 5 times or so, just for you to check it out! :money:

Thanks for helpfull tips lander and earl. A couple of years ago I started using sportsinteraction. I quit when I got myself caught up in the casino part and lost around $800. That is ALOT of money for me. Over the past couple of months I have settled in on Mysportsbook.com, the only complaint I have is them getting the lines up pretty late. I am not a big time bettor, just casual $20-$30 bets. I am looking to become more serious in the future though. Usually the bets I take are ML bets in basketball, I hardly ever use the points. Plus, I bet on hockey alot. Does any of this matter from book to book?

heatohio,,,,, if you bet hockey, stop whatever you are doing and open a account at pinnacle right this minute. the only dime line in hockey i know of, not to mention overnight lines and reduced juice on basically everything.

It has nothing to do with the capability to pick winners, it's that if you have only 1 book and they have -2.5 on the basketball game you like and you take that when another book has the game at -2 for the same juice you are basically giving away value and it will cost you.

If you like dogs and unders and you bet low, VIPSports might be perfect. They have rewards points, lots of options and like small time players.

That said, if you want to bet overs and favorites (of course I'm generalising here) then you most definately want one of those sharper reduced vig books that I mentioned earlier.

It will definately save you a few bucks just by using different books with different target client bases.

You absolutely have to use multiple outs, particularly ones with reduced juice. 3 is an absolute MINIMUM, 5 is better. And as lander said, the more the merrier. If you can't be bothered with using more than 1 book, then don't expect to be a winner.
