Last VMA's I watched the Rage Against the Machine guy went psycho when they were beat by Limp Bizkit. Limp Bizkit, the soundtrack for all those 13 fat virgins.
That was actually the straw that broke the camel's back and caused Zack De La Rocha (Vocalist, Primary Lyricist) to leave the band, Tim Commerford (Bassist, backing Vocals) climbing up that scaffolding.
The Band and none of it's members have found similar success since then and not even come anywhere close.
To the Magic, the power that was Rage Against The Machine.
Expectations were that Zack and the band would be unable to resist the temptation to reunite in the face of how dumb and dangerous this Presidential election has shaped up to be.
Not to be. Remainder of RATM has come together with Chuck D (Public Enemy, 56 years old) and at least one member of Cypress Hill to create a band that sounds like RATM mixed with PE and, well, Cypress Hill absent the straight-out dismantling power of Zack's writing thus...
...my sense is pretty much no one knows about them.
"Prophets of Rage"? I think.....is their name?
Zach not stepping back in, present Political circumstances considered is......hard to comprehend. Hard to take.
Some Thing is in the way.
