Wait one second...a prospective presidential candidate calls the wife of the current president, The first lady herself, a freakin vagina and that aint newsworthy?

Is a person given to these kind of filth filled tirades an individual we should put in charge of a whole nuclear weapons arsenal?

Are you freakin kiddin me?

Ps..(I am not saying the allegations are true, but if they are it would definately be newsworthy...the kind of news you hold until september 18th :103631605)

Pretty funny. Everytime Fox reports something you guys think is derogatory about Obama or his wife it's the same old refrain - how dare they report on these trivialities when the country is going to hell in a handbasket?!?#@# And the Olbermann/Maher/Stewart crowd just chalk it up to racism. (And now Obama himself is setting up any criticism of him as racism, much like he did with Hillary when she made an innocuous - and accurate - comment about LBJ getting civil rights legislation passed.)

I repeat - true or not (and my guess would be the latter) this is a NONSTORY that is NOT NEWSWORTHY and should have NO BEARING on the election.

I'll believe it when I hear it. If somehow this was true, McCain would be sunk. How could Bush support a man that calls his wife a c*nt? Wouldn't he be obliged, as a good Texan, to at least shoot him in the leg?

He wouldn't actually fight his own battle. He'd have Cheney do it. Of course Cheney would miss and shoot him in the face.

Pretty funny. Everytime Fox reports something you guys think is derogatory about Obama or his wife it's the same old refrain - .

You mean stories like the "terrorist fist pump" Or stories about "whitey" or saying that Obama should shot!!! Or the stupid stories about "appeasers"

Do you even understand what the word trivial means?

Because i dont see how you can compare a man who makes it a habit to de-humanize woman by constantly insulting them in this way.

That is in now way shape or fashion a trivial issue.

It is not trivial the sanity of a grown man who could dis-respect our nation by insulting the first lady in that way.
If Mccain does this to a current sitting president of our own country, what will he say to Prime minister Putin if they have a dissagreement?

If these allegations are proven true, the story needs to be covered.

I dont need some poorly educated moonshine runner telling me what is trivial and what isnt.

Lets look at McCain's track record with women fellas:

Book: McCain temper boiled over in '92 tirade, called wife a '****'

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you ****." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days

McCain dismisses equal pay legislation, says women need more ‘training and education.’

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/23...-says-women-need-more-training-and-education/

Today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) skipped the vote on the Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which “restores the longstanding interpretation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act,” overturned last year by a 5-4 Supreme Court ruling. In New Orleans today, McCain explained his opposition to the bill by claiming it “opens us up to lawsuits for all kinds of problems.”

John McCain Affair? Links To Female Lobbyist Exposed

==============================================

John McCain had several sexual affairs with his military subordinates when he was an Executive Officer and as a Squadron Commander and later molested a MIA's wife

http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/cin_unfit_2.htm : „While Executive Officer and later as Squadron Commander McCain used his authority to arrange frequent flights that allowed him to carouse with subordinates and "engage in extra-marital affairs." This was a clear violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice rules against adultery and fraternization with subordinates. But, as with all his other past behaviors, McCain was never penalized; instead he always got away with his transgressions. Timberg wrote, "Off duty, usually on routine cross-country flights to Yuma and El Centro, John started carousing and running around with women. To make matters worse, some of the women with whom he was linked by rumor were subordinates . . . At the time the rumors were so widespread that, true or not, they became part of McCain's persona, impossible not to take note of."”

Yea. An off the record, private comment about an individual is analogous to spewing racist venom at a public forum.

If either of these things really ever happened, of which I'm very dubious.

MT, you and I often have differing perceptions. But on this one, I totally concur.

Only two weeks into Doc2008 and the level of absurdity has surpassed anything I might have imagined. (I've been posting at Rx since late 2004, but only actively for a bit over two years which were all post-Doc's previous stint)

Well, as a 37 year native of Texas (prior to 1997) I'd say that if Bush were following the protocol of notable Texas Republicans, he'd more likely just tell Laura to "lay back and enjoy it"
