So does that mean my stripper friend from Spearmint Rhino and I are not invited??:nohead:Seriously Ice, Nevada has no state income tax, you will love that...for sure no more shoveling snow and ice from your front yard, and maybe you will be there when Las Vegas finally gets its first pro franchise....

You know V, You are More then Welcome..WHAT STRIPPER FRIEND ??

Just call me when you get on Monday.

Ice:

Did the very same thing in 1989 when I was 41. Sold my home and bought one in Green Valley (Henderson) and lived daily going from book to book. This was before Offshore was widely available or Vegas was as linked. It was the happiest time of my life. I've never regretted the experience. Hopefully, you will find what you are looking for and have the success you desire. Best wishes on your life's journey. :toast:

Thanks for sharing and understanding.

I have a friend that moved there and he says he sees friends an relatives more now than when they lived in the same state.

Can be burdensome I would think but not a very bad burden to have.

Good luck and see you soon..........LOL

Me and the wife (I hate the word fiancee sounds cheesy) have had a little talk about the amount of people who are mentioning swinging into town and staying with us, she (and I) are not to fond of having sleepover friends. We are all for hanging out but getting too old for people to crash the home and stay with us. We arent really sure if they are serious. Either way should be easy to entartain people for sure but might get old really fast also. I bet I have mad half ass plans with a dozen people in the past 2 weeks who claim they are coming in town thrighout the year, wonder how many of them follow thru when they get there and call me.

I cant put into words. You will have to see for yourself and you will know exactly what I mean right when you meet her is all I can say.

Thank you sir. I look at how hard my dad works to this day (and he is 63 years old) and I wonder if he has some regrets on things and it sort of motivates me to at least do some things like this.

My dad is having a hard time with this as he dosent understand a lot of it but he has always said life is about peace of mind. I keep telling him that is what he preaches and why I am doing this right now.

Don't foget to pay a visit to the Hilton. A lot of good handicappers hang out there. I see the same faces everytime i am there. They got all the Stardust bettors.

Good luck Ice, I think you will do well !

I did it during my young and crazy years (early 90s) but had no self control and melted down within a few months.

You have your head on right - it's not a sprint, take your time, get your feel for everything...then grind away!

Please keep us posted!

ICEMAN, in 1997 when I was 37 yrs old, I had known the now SheBar (age 33) for less than a year when we decided together to leave Dallas TX (my 37 year home) for Florida.

She had a full time job in place which paid all our bills.

I was then a 15 year veteran of residential lawn/garden service work plus various other self employed enterprises.

11 years later, we're fully married and our life has never been better.

Will definitely want to check out your scene when I finally make my trip to Vegas, but unless you can put me up like a Marriott, I'm not sleeping at your crib.

Alright I'll bite and be one of the negative ones. Essentially, your girlfriend will be supporting an unemployed gambler in Las Vegas?

What percentage of people do you think move to LV with dreams of hitting the big time and then actually make it in this business by handicapping their own sports with their own bankroll? I can tell you it's very slim.

Don't mean to piss on your parade and aspirations but I guess I should wish you the best but people on this forum have day jobs for a reason and that reason is because 97% of all steady players net out as steady losers.

Just being honest and someone had to do it here. I expect negative comments and that's ok I'm just telling it like it is. Ice seems like a good guy but just sayin....
