One summer there must have been a wiffle ball shortage, we couldn't find them anywhere...we had to resort to using the softball sized...man that sucked,lol..

The best WB's are the ones that are 'weatherized' the ones that get lost under the bush and you find a year later, they get all scuffed up and they seem to last longer.

Any of you guys remember the Mini Wiffle ball? It was a smaller version, I only saw them for a short time.

Jman...you got me laughing

I remember those softball size ones with the holes in them.....Did your wiffle ever get stuck in a tree? We would waste hours throwing pine cones and our gloves at the ball, then the glove would get stuck...time to go get dad's ladder and carry it a mile to the stupid tree.

lol- rainspout...many times...The Softball edition was just like the regular ball just softball sized...lol, we didn't know what to do with them when we pitched them, we still threw it overhanded....lol, how about when you only had the cracked ball left and had to keep using it...remember the 7-11 Slupee Cups with the MLB players on them, damn i must have had 50 of them all stacked up, lol

the Nerf would get caught in the tree!

Not to many people rememer the infamous "7-11 Slurpee" I used to like the coke flavor. We used to buy the card packs with the bubble gum in them. I remember sitting on the bricks at the 7-11 going through my new cards and drinking a slurpee...then cruise by the Fina station with my glove hanging from the handle bars, and put air in my tire. Then home to watch Tarzan and the the "Game of the Week" (means something different now, huh) with Joe Garagiola and Kurt Gowdy. Dem was da days....

Do you still have your cards?

All you guys must be city folks. I played baseball in a potato field. You allways had markers for the bases. But it was sure rough after digging. No grounders allowed. Only fly balls--But man--you could knock em to the moon and as fer as the eye could see.

Oh those were the days my friend.

This thread is bringing back memories !

Tony and Joe saturday afternoon...it didn't matter who was playing!

I gave away all my cards to my GF's brother,lol...when i was 18 , what a *******...I ended up trying to re-collect my collection, I went and bought the 1970 set mint condition, but never re-captured the magic or my whole collection, which would be worth a small fortune now...

We still get Slurpees, cola was always the one I got too...back then it was either cola or lime lol...I remember getting those slurpees with the MLB player on them, 7-11 would piss us off though, they would only put out a new player like once every 10 days..this is way way back !

I use to collect the helmets too, lol, I would actually wear one when I played wiffle ball lmfao, man this is funny thinking back...
