Wondering if any of you guys live in these cities, or ones that you think should be on the list or even surprised by the cities included in the list?

I am from the T.O. so I would not know. I have family that live in BK, New York and California. From the stories I have been told about BK, I am surprised that they are not on the list. Maybe they have improved over the years.

I'm from Memphis. I can verify that Memphis is a dangerous city to live in. Everynight, I MEAN EVERY NIGHT, on the local news the first report is about someone being shot or robbed. Unfortunately I have family and friends here and it is hard to leave.

That said, I wouldn't wish my worst enemies to live here.....OK, maybe my worst enemies.

Add Hartford Connecticut to that list...you need to have your M-16 locked and loaded when going through there at night. The police department is so f_cked up that they had 7000 outstanding warrants that weren't even keyed in the computer database...so if any of these clowns were stopped somewhere nothing showed up. Time to bring back the Enola Gay and start all over.

I had a boyhood friend who became a monk and spent 30 years in New Guinia.

After the stint he came home and i asked what he thought of his boyhood country.

First he said he was going to stock up on sewing thread and needles,(a rare commodity)and return to the jungle as soon as he appropriately could.

He then said we are "all prisoners in our homes in the us", and could never adapt to this prison after the freedom of the jungle.

If we don't go into lockdown at night we are free to be hunted.

Trenton is a pit. Camden is trash but there is some progress to try to clean it up. Kind of funny to see Reading on that list but the gang problem there is really bad. I'm shocked Newark, NJ isn't on that list.

What´s sad is that most of these listed aren´t really large cities. For instance, New York is surprisingly absent.

Who would´ve thought that Gary, Indiana is a shithole?

New York has the lowest crime rate of any big city actually. Stats are all based on number of residents, when you add in the large number of tourists present NYC has really low crime. It has bad neighborhoods, but as a whole it is shocking what the Giuliani years did for the city. Newark is undergoing the same change. More money coming in thanks to a revived airport and downtown has done it wonders. Trenton supposedly is heading down the same path, but with a small population base it will take some time. Just remember every town has a bad side of town, but how big that bad area is and how bad it gets in the nicer part of town is what makes stats like this.
