Yippy Skippy!

A federal judge Monday denied the administration’s request to hit pause on a House lawsuit over Obamacare so that it could appeal an earlier, and notable, ruling that allowed the case proceed in the first place.

U.S. District Court Judge Rosemary M. Collyer enthused conservatives and shocked Democrats last month by granting House Republicans legal standing to sue President Obama, after lawmakers said his administration continued to dole out cost-sharing payments under the Affordable Care Act even though lawmakers had not approved them.

A day late and a dollar short, don’t you think?

To quote the next POTUS…

"What difference – at this point, does it make?"

Again, you can't even mock how dumb the poster who started this thread is.

[h=1]The Obamacare calamity can’t be swept under the rug[/h]
Obamacare has led to increased premiums, skyrocketing out-of-pocket expenses for consumers, businesses cutting back on what benefits they offer their employees, plans that offer less coverage, medical taxes that will stifle innovation and hurt vulnerable Americans and a huge number of people who will remain uninsured. The next president will need to deal with the colossal failure of Obamacare. Obama and the Democrats have created a system that is inadequate, unaffordable and unsustainable. It will be front and center for the next president, and it should play a major role in the 2016 campaign.

[h=1]South Carolina Obamacare co-op ninth to shut down[/h]
The ninth taxpayer-funded Obamacare insurance startup has decided to close down, another victim that blames few federal dollars for the closure.
South Carolina's Consumers' Choice Health Insurance Company said Thursday it would not offer plans in 2016. It is the ninth of 23 Obamcare-funded co-ops to announce it would not offer plans.

Love me some more and more of that $2,500 annual savings!

Premiums rising by "average" of 7.5%, but some as high as 55%...

Donald Trump is attacking the Affordable Care Act again. He says health insurance premiums are rising by 35, 45 or even 55 percent in some places.
Officials at the Department of Health and Human Services tell a very different story. They say premiums for the standard insurance plans are rising by just 7.5 percent on average -- and that the vast majority of people buying coverage through the law's new marketplaces can find insurance for a relative pittance.
Trump is right, but so is HHS.

Gee, that's strange. When this bill was rammed through Congress, all we heard from Nazi Pelousy was how it was such an awesome bill that it needed to be passed before anyone could even read it.

Today's story? "Well, it's...like, really complicated and stuff." Oh.

Rising by "just" an average of 7.5%? Wow, how fortunate we are!

Notice the difference in how the headlines were written three years ago versus today. There is no way anyone can defend this disaster anymore. Americans were lied to, and the dimocrap minions really enjoyed being lied to. It's so comforting to know our overlords can put us serfs in our place when necessary, isn't it? Bunch of retarded morons.

This thread would have been less embarrassing for Finch had he posted pictures of himself in a clown suit getting ass rammed by a three-legged animal.

“First, I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits – either now or in the future. I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future, period. And to prove that I’m serious, there will be a provision in this plan that requires us to come forward with more spending cuts if the savings we promised don’t materialize.”
-- Obama

We're expecting those cuts any day now...

Yep...this is the very definition of fraud, and if a private company operated this way, their management would be behind bars. Same for Social Security (nothing more than a Ponzi scheme, also illegal for the private sector but not the gubmint!). There are so many IOUs in social security that some pundits are projecting disability will be completely bankrupt by the summer of 2016. Joy! Expect your SS withholding to bump up just a bit more...because when our dear leaders inevitably fuck up and mismanage funds, they just pass the buck on to the taxpayers.

Anyway, I still vividly remember the Stuttering Clusterfuck on the campaign trail talking about this. "We're going to work with your company to ensure insurance costs are reduced." Anyone smarter than a pile of elephant shit can understand how ridiculous that is. How, exactly? What, are they going to sprinkle fairy dust on the policies to reduce the prices? Contact Pavian to smoke a peace pipe before conducting a rain dance? How can a government "work with" any private company to make the cost of one of their goods and services cheaper? If you believe that's possible, you'd have to be stupid enough to believe the government has the ability to do something like, say, affect the climate.

Oh, wait. Plenty of dimocraps already do believe that's possible.

[h=1]ObamaCare's tough road ahead[/h]
The Obama administration on Sunday begins what is expected to be the toughest enrollment period yet for ObamaCare.
The administration has sought to lower expectations, trimming back its overall enrollment projection while warning that the people who remain uninsured will be the hardest to reach.

The administration's goal of having 10 million people enrolled by the end of next year, up from 9.1 million this year, is widely viewed as a low target that would represent a modest expansion of President Obama’s signature domestic program.
“It isn’t very much growth,” said Karen Pollitz, a former HHS official in the Obama administration who is now at the Kaiser Family Foundation.
While there is uncertainty about how the enrollment period will go, some fear that not enough healthy people will sign up to create a “risk pool” that balances the sick enrollees and prevents premiums from spiking.
“That would be a concern,” Pollitz said. “Sort of, how big of a risk pool do you need?”

Price Hike Cover-Up

Obamacare Premiums Will Be Three Times Higher in 2016 Than Feds Predicted

Obamacare premium costs will soar 20.3 percent on average in 2016 instead of the 7.5 percent increase claimed by federal officials, according to an analysis by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The discrepancy is because the government excluded price data for three of the four Obamacare health insurance plans when the officials issued their recent forecast claiming enrollees would face only a 7.5 percent average rate increase in 2016.

When data for all four plans are included, premium costs will actually rise on average 20.3 percent next year. The 2015 Obamacare price hike was 2.0 percent.

OBAMACARE HEMORRHAGING

Billions in tax $$ at risk, thousands scramble for coverage as co-ops fail

Lawmakers sound alarm over failing ObamaCare co-ops

Congressional lawmakers are raising alarm over the rapid collapse of several so-called ObamaCare "co-ops" -- government-backed alternative health plans -- that are failing, leaving tens of thousands of customers scrambling for coverage, and billions in taxpayer-funded startup loans at risk.

Over 80,000 residents of Colorado are losing their health insurance because of Obamacare, and the young and healthy aren’t enrolling, but Press Secretary Josh Earnest says the law is working splendidly.
Josh Earnest clearly lives in a bubble.

Obamacare has already failed, we're just trying to pick up the pieces and move forward

it doesn't cover all Americans, misses by tens of millions, FAIL

it didn't decrease costs, it increased them significantly, FAIL

you can't keep your insurance if you like it, FAIL

it didn't decrease the deficit, it increased the deficit despite increasing taxes, FAIL

it didn't improve quality, FAIL

it increased bureaucracy decreasing efficiency in the the medical profession and the business community, FAIL

it made out healthcare system a political pawn, just like the tax code, to be used to fool the simple minded people of this world, FAIL (although this is actually a good thing for the Democratic party, they need fictitious wedge issues because they can't win on ideas)

Yup, one of the worst boondoggles ever to be foisted on the American people - except that it was shoved down our throats by
a corrupt vile shit-stain administration.

There's no "Obamacare clause" in the Constitution, which means it can be killed with a stroke of a pen if we elect the right president. Meanwhile, the architects and conspirators who shoved this lemon down people's throats should be subpoenaed and dragged in front of Congress to justify their lies and deception.

to strike in down in the same fashion it's been implemented would be equally bad

it needs to be untangled in a properly managed fashion with input from the medical and insurance professions

Brother Willie,

Infesting the house with more termites (bureaucrats, think tanks, politicians, "experts" mismanaging the system from the top) will only make things worse.

Healthcare is between a patient and their doctor(s) (and third party insurance for consumers who opt to go that route).

The only sane 'fix' is to decouple Washington from the healthcare industry.

That said, politically, you could very well be right: you can't fix stupid and stupid is beyond saving.
