Here we have a pair of division cellar-dwellers but if we are picking the prettiest pig in the pen then the Canadiens get the nod with 56 points heading into this matchup versus 48 for the Ducks.
Believe it or not, both clubs are playing relatively well with Montreal winning three of their last four games including an impressive 5-2 victory over a tough New Jersey squad. Anaheim also had a little mojo of their own going by winning three straight, including a shocking 3-2 win over the Hurricanes in which goalie John Gibson stole the show by turning aside 51 of 53 Carolina shots.
However, the Ducks reverted to their norm and dropped a 3-2 overtime decision to the Capitals on Wednesday but have won their last three meetings with the Canadiens including a 5-2 victory back in December this season. The Habs have had a rash of injuries lately and the Ducks should prevail in this one as they did in their previous meeting.
