Does anyone know more about this. This is what I've just received.
Dear XXX,
I hereby inform you that Moneybookers has now blocked all payments between
all gaming/gambling operators and customers registered in the USA. This is
due to the recent Internet Gambling Prohibition and Enforcement Act. In case
a US gambler attempts to make a deposit to you, or you attempt to make a
withdrawal to a US gambler, the initiating party will be shown an
appropriate message. For merchants using our API for payouts, you will
receive a new response - "DISALLOWED_RECIPIENT".
Moneybookers has never positioned itself as a processor for US gaming
payments so we therefore foresee very little impact on our overall merchant
and customer base. However, we apologise for any inconvenience caused by our
policy to comply with this Act.
Moneybookers will continue to focus on European and Asian markets so please
feel free to contact us if you wish to enhance your business in this area. I
will be pleased to support you and provide you with any assistance.
Regards
MoneyBookers
