Everyone seems a little to eager to think that nova will cover here at 7 1/2 or any number close to it. To many people on Nova for them to pull it out. Not to mention that Mcnamaras game winner will be the fuel to thrust the orange into another NCAA tourney. I see the orangemen in blow out by 15+

one note

nova had no trouble at all with Georgetown @Georgetown...

To me on paper these teams look pretty similar.

But I'm not touching it since its at Cuse.

Syracuse facing elimination from the tournament if they lost to GT on Saturday, should of been the fuel to thrust the Cuse to another NCAA tourney run. McNamara's three pointer at the end, was simply a lucky bucket that fell at the right time and right place. That winning bucket does nothing to give me any reason that Cuse are serious or playing good ball at all, that make them deservant of an NCAA Tourney Bid. Watch out in this one, Syracuse only 3-9 ATS at home. Nova is 10-2 ATS on the road, where their stats in % is better than at home. GL anyway with your play , CC.

lucky bucket?

I know it helps your point to say it that way - and maybe it wasnt an easy bucket, but you gotta give the dude credit for the bucket he made.

I'm not saying he'll do it again, and I'm actually a faithful Cuse fader myself, I just don't think its worth the risk, if they are a team that has something left in them to make the tourney then this would be the time they'd do it.

I doubt they will but the chance alone makes me want to just watch the game (and hope they lose)

Jaypaw,

No one is taking away anything from him for the shot. If you dont know by now, then go back to my thread on Saturday and you will see that I had Syracuse as one of my Big GOM -2.5, so if anyone you would think would be touting Syracuse it would be me. So I dont think I am taking anything away from him, he brought me a big win. But that game is over now, and as a capper, I do not look at one shot lucky or not to be a determing factor in their next game. It may help in motivation , but that can only go so far , especially if confidence in play is not completely there.

Btw, this comment was intended for the starter of this post, as I was trying to share with him another angle to look at things. It was not intended for you to question my comments about a shot being lucky or not. Also, no one is questioning you or trying to convince you to play this game, so I dont know where it is that you need to defend yourself about not playing this game. Hey you do what you want to do. That is perfectly fine with me. CC.

I think i'ts fade the Cuse time. Boeheim looks lost as does his players on offense. In their last 4 home games Syracuse has been thumped by ND,beat Rutgers by 2,beat a woeful Vir Tech by 12 and were humiliated by Pitt by 21.I guess Carmello meant more than anyone realized. And lets not forget that the Hoyas were beaten by some guys named St Johns.

I know you didnt intend specifically for me to comment on it but in the hopes I could contribute something to the discussion I just wanted to again throw in my two cents regarding the "validity" of the shot, which could go a long way when attempting to discern the "validity" of Syracuse as a team.

Are you in a bad mood today?

Gl with your picks - and cheer up, again I was trying to help.
