Kansas City +6 Even over BALTIMORE <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The winless Chiefs take their show on the road for another prime time affair and what we do know is that this line opened at 4½ and has been bet up to six. By game time it might even be higher. How quickly things can change. This is the same visitor that opened the year just three weeks ago as one of the Super-Bowl favorites but three losses have now put them in the category of bottom feeder. Hell, if the Ravens were playing the Bengals, Steelers, or even the Saints, they might not be a six-point favorite here. The Chiefs still possess a great offense led by touchdown machine Priest Holmes. Their pride is on the line here and so is their season. This is a cornered animal that will not go down without a huge fight. Furthermore, the Ravens are a team that seldom wins big. They rely on ball control and a great defense to get the job done and that’s the complete opposite style of Kansas City, quite a contrast to say the least. Two things to make note of here, one, the whole world is on the Ravens and that’s a huge red flag. Two, Ravens are a great team to take points with, however, laying them, especially six against an offense of this caliber, is an extremely dangerous proposition. Kyle Boller can make even the Chiefs defense look good. Remember, this Kansas City offense can score on anyone and should they score first, be it a FG or a TD, that’s a mighty big obstacle for the Ravens to overcome to cover the number. Play Kansas City +6 (Risking 1 unit to win 1).

Baltimore's wins were 30-13 and 23-9. Pretty big spreads for anyone not named the Eagles. KC can score on anyone? Unfortunately, they are not playing anyone. They are playing the best defense in football. Last year they put up 17 at home vs the Ravens. They had 10 with 5 minutes to go until Hall ran back a kickoff. The Chiefs were on a roll at the time. The Chiefs are #29 vs the run. The Ravens will control the ball and wear them down. When the Chiefs have to pass, Terrell Suggs and crew will harass Green all night. Defense wins this one.

You were saying Jacks??? Chiefs offense made the Ravens D look like the 76 Chargers. The most lopsided game of the year only the score did not reflect that. Last year???, love you guys who talk about last year. Last year the Marlins won the World Series and the Falcons and Jets were a combined 1-8. What does last year have to do with this year?

You were right on that Sherwood. As Fletch once said "It takes a big man to admit when they are wrong, and I am not a big man". Seriously, great job tonight!!
