During weeks 5-8 I always look to bet Sunday or Monday Night home underdogs, when the power rating favors them. Oakland dropped last week to a PR of 12 from 13, KC went up from a PR of 18 to 18.5. Giving the Raiders a +3 for home field advantage that makes them a +3.5 point dog, KC opened at –4 to –4.5 and is now a game time chalk at –5. That gives Oakland good value when working off the key number of 3. The Raiders are undefeated at home this season and are 5-1 SU the past six years when a home game falls on week 7. Although the Spread Range Value on Oakland is only 1.5 points this team could be looking for respect and should be emotionally charged up for the game. I also look to wager on teams that has just suffered a humiliating loss-either by losing by a big score or to a bad club, or to wager against a team that put up outstanding numbers the previous week. The Chiefs may be in for a let down here but I will use caution wagering on a beat up Raider team.
