Seattle vs Los Angeles
- great situation today for Seattle to give LA their first loss of the season. LA with 3rd game in a week and off a very short turnaround from a late Wednesday match in the Denver altitude to then travel to Seattle for a very early Saturday game (1pm local time). LA playing great football, 6-1-0 11/2, but did not play well at Colorado though escaped with 3 points. Seattle very inconsistent losing to two eastern conference teams already this year and some ugly home scores, though they've basically dominated every home game except vs Columbus. If Ljungberg decides to start playing and stop diving they will be dangerous today as Zakuani is now their most creative player and Montero can finish. For whatever reason Seattle does not like it when Kevin Stott refs their matches as they've been shutout in 3 straight games he has officiated, but I will assume there is nothing to that, just coincidence. Seattle already 10 points behind LA in the west and just 3 points from dead last in the west so all home games are vital, especially today. They cannot catch LA in a better spot as they are rested while LA on a b2b road game streak with a very short turnaround. not easy opposing the Galaxy but you have to like Seattle's chances today.

Seattle should have done better than a draw last week. They had numerous chances in the first half and ended up with one goal to show for it. I'm sure you know, Zigi switched the formation to a 4-3-3 with Ljungberg at center-mid and Zakuani, Montero and Evans up front. Hopefully, this switch will lead to more chances and they can cash in this time. It's going to be a tough game, but I like the play.

Suprised you are not on Real Salt Lake or Columbus today.

Isn't it still week 7? :>Grin>

don't really like RSL laying -200 ... they're not playing well to justify it and they are a bit of a soft team that won't like PHilly's very physical side. Still should win

I do like the crew but two things keep me off (for now)
1) weather. very strong winds in columbus which is a killer for soccer
2) NE, and really any MLS team, will fight their asses off tonight after the 4-0 home drubbing CUSA put on them.

actually like both Crew and under with 1-0/2-0 scoreline but so far just the Sounders bet

really bad goal allowed by keller...one of the worst of his career. Seattle 0-1 HT hope they turn this around in 2H

Dallas vs DC United
- two tired teams with awful defenses should produce some goals. Dallas are creating more chances and delivering more shots than any team in MLS but have only scored only 8 times in 6 games, but have netted in all of them. They are both playing their 4th game in 10 days and it all started with their meeting in US Open Cup which ended 4-2 to DC and could have probably seen 10 goals. Dallas worst defense in west, DC worst defense in east, though both are coming off their best defensive matches of season. Dallas are pounding opponents with shots but only 1 win this year because of bad defense and worst goalkeeping in league. They took 14 vs both Columbus and Seattle, 17 at NY, and 23 at NE. but didi not win any of those games. DC looked good on offense in last few games and are still missing every competent defender. Weather is perfect (70 degrees and no wind). Only negative is Santino Quaranta did not travel to Dallas due to an ingrown hair (are you serious Tino?!?!). DC's 19 year old keeper, Hamid, was great in midweek vs KC but this will be his first road start and he will see a lot of action. I expect 4+ goals here.

Columbus vs New England
- I expect a tight one here as New England will play behind the ball all match, making sure they don't get hammered like in midweek. Columbus rightful favorites and have not allowed a home goal this year. 4 of last 5 meetings have ended 1-0 and New England on a current streak of 12 consecutive road unders. Very windy in Columbus so crosses and corners will struggle to find their mark.

hmm, looking like a rough day

no shot on goal for 30' in columbus then NE scores on their first shot and Columbus equalizes seconds later on their first shot then go ahead on an own goal

probably deserved better in Dallas but final score is all that counts. amazing how the east just cannot win a game against the west
