Thanks, nojuice9.

I'm glad Houston came through, because the Sounders looked aweful last night. They are going to miss Montero this season. Bad pick on my part.

Sunday March 3

07:00pm San Jose vs. Real Salt Lake -- At home last year, San Jose were 10W-6D-1L GF/GA 43/22. They won all three games versus Real Salt Lake last year, with scores of 3-1 and 5-0 at home. RSL lost some key players due to the salary cap. San Jose -0.5 -115

my power ratings....

1) LA Galaxy - when the b2b champs blow out my sleeper in the East, they are still at the top
2) Sporting KC - top team in East
3) Seattle - bad performance but could have been looking ahead
4) Houston - clean sheets now b2b home games this week
5) RSL - have to put them ahead of SJ because of result
6) SJ - Wondo should have scored 2 or 3 himself vs RSL
7) Columbus - solid match vs the Mexicans...err CUSA
8) Vancouver - more impressive than 1-0 would suggest
9) Montreal - probably should be higher as that is a quality if not entire fortunate 3 road points
10) Dallas - less impressive than 1-0 would suggest
11) RBNY - could have scored or conceded 6
12) Portland - could have scored or conceded 6
13) DC United - created nothing but probably 0-0 would have been fair
14) New England - haven't played yet
15) Chicago - had 2 great chances to open scoring then it was all one way
16) Colorado - They were very poor in Dallas but played well on defense
17) Philadelphia - losing by 2 at home after a lead?
18) Toronto FC - major work in progress
19) Chivas USA - yikes

I agree with the majority of your rankings, rolltide.

I would have to put Houston ahead of Seattle right now, though. Not sure where their goals are going to come from without Montero. Teams will key defensively against E. Johnson, whereas last year they had to respect both. They need a top level forward.

Only two favorites lost last week, and somehow I managed to bet on both of them. Hoping to get back on track.

I agree about the crap football, rolltide. I bought the MLS direct kick package this year, so I've had a chance to see teams that I normally don't. Some of the games are tough to watch.

I'm not against the concept of a rivalry week, but why would NBC pick the third week of the season for it. Why not have it sometime in July or August when the weather is warmer and teams are in better form.

All three teams coming off a CCL midweek game failed to cover by giving up a late goal. I was on the wrong side of two of those games and it won't happen again. Lesson learned. From now on, it's either a play against or a no play for teams in that situation.

This coming week against San Jose, the Sounders will be without Johnson. New F Martins will be playing for Nigeria. MF Martinez for Honduras. MF's Evans and Rosales are banged up and I'm not sure if F Estrada is ready to return. Zigi may have no choice but to play a 4-5-1 with Ochoa up front and hope for a draw.

Disapointing week, but it's early. Time to regroup.

Going with two of the suprise teams so far, and I think the Red Bulls can break through and get their first win.

Need to rebound in a big way.

Wednesday April 17 -- Wk. # 8

Two plays for today.

Saturday April 20

05:30pm FC Dallas -0.5 -130 vs. Vancouver - FC Dallas are 4-0-0 at home with wins over LA, Hou., and RSL. I think they can keep the momentum going at home.

07:30pm Los Angeles -0.25 -120 vs. Sporting KC - After a big win over NYRB on Wed., SKC is in a bit of a letdown spot. They will be playing on only two days rest. The Galaxy will be highly motivated for this game after losses to Dallas and two to Monterrey in CCL. A full week of rest gives Los Angeles the situational advantages in this one.

Dallas and LA come through yesterday. Hope to keep it going in the right direction.

Sunday April 21

08:00pm San Jose -0.5 -127 vs. Portland - San Jose are finally getting back some key players from injury. I think they can bounce back with a win in this revenge spot.

Saturday April 27 -- Wk. # 9

04:30pm New England pk -110 vs. Philadelphia - After a 3-2 road win over DC United on Sun., Philadelphia could have a letdown in this spot. New England should play with a much stronger effort today, after that embarrassing 1-4 loss to NYRB last week.
