MLS Betting Preview
Chivas USA at Houston
Wednesday, 8:30 pm Eastern – ESPN 2

The top two teams in the Soccer Betting Western Conference get together on Wednesday night in Houston as the Dynamo host Chivas USA. The Dynamo are red hot, unbeaten in their last eight games overall. They are six points behind Chivas in the Western Conference but they have two games in hand.

Houston is a -280 favorite with a total of 2.5 under at SBG Global.

Wednesday’s match could be low scoring considering these are the top two defensive teams in the league. Houston has allowed only 7 goals while Chivas has given up only 9. The Dynamo hasn’t allowed more than a single goal in any of their last nine games, with six shutouts. Houston could break their own league record for fewest goals allowed in a season which they set two years ago.

Houston started the season with two losses and two ties in their first four games, and allowed five goals in their first three games. They've won six of seven since and are 2-0-1 in their last three road games. After hosting Chivas on Wednesday the Dynamo will play five of their next six matches on the road.

Chivas still has the overall MLS points lead after getting a 1-0 win against Seattle on Saturday. Chivas has 27 points from 13 matches, which is six points more than Houston and also six points more than Eastern Conference leader Chicago. "It was important for our confidence to get that win," said Chivas’ Carey Talley. "In the last few weeks we've played some very good soccer games and come away with a point or with nothing. So for us to come out of this game with three points, you have to give credit to our guys."

Here are the Soccer Betting stats for Wednesday’s game. The teams have met 10 times in their history and Houston has four wins while Chivas has only one. Five times the teams have played to a draw. Houston is a perfect 4-0-2 at home against Chivas. Houston has held Chivas without a goal in Houston for the last 465 minutes in league play.

Don't think I am crazy, but won't know for sure until after game.

I have HOUSTON/Chivas for $1 each at final score of 2-1 pays $8,
1-2 pays $13,
1-1 pays $6,
1-0 pays $6,
0-1 pays $8.5,
0-0 pays $8,

Any combination of 3 goals or less and I either win or at worst break even. Of course, somebody will put in the 4th goal as extra time winds down on a shot off the post or something like that.
But for $6 total action I WILL BE in front of a TV tonight.

Betting these MLS games is stupid. My suggestion is take the opposite of what the books are favoring, so since they are favoring the under 2.5, I'd take over 2.5, and Chivas PK.

Just my opinion...I sure as hell won't be betting the MLS.
