I don't think they're greatly improved at all, missing a guy that scored 1/3 of their entire goals last year.

anyway I would not bet against them tonight opening a new building in front of an expected sellout...and DC with one eye on Pachuca tuesday night

Wizards win 2-0.........Claudio Lopez is going to have a big year. The only team that gives a shit about the Concacaf Cup is Sapprisa.

galaxy look absolutely dreadful. their defense is a joke, that abel xavier guy is a waste of space. they will do nothing if they dont get new centerbacks. cant believe they lost 4-0! it coulda been a lot worse too

Since they hired Alexi Lalas, its been an absolute disaster for the Galaxy. I wouldnt put that clown in charge of a flea circus, let alone a sports franchise. Almost every trade he has made has been a disaster. Talent evaluator he is not!

I thought KC would struggle to score without Johnson.

Betting against LA is money in bank because when you spend 80% of your teams salary cap on 3 players there are going to be massive gaps in your team. In LA's case in at the back.

1-2 - 151

Only about 12,000 at Foxboro last night but great atmosphere despite the bitter cold. I had a small play on the over so the late third goal was a nice bonus.

the galaxy.jesus.what a monumental disaster this may end up being if they don't make the playoffs again

my ex girlfriend spent 70 dollars on a galaxy replica jersey for a present for me. she was probably in love with beckham.

everytime I wear it to a pub or just messing around on the pitch I am going to be mocked:lolBIG:

cheers

Galaxy back line is a sieve and now they don't have Cannon to bail them out. The should'v hired Sasquatch instead of Xavier... cheaper:lol:...and def. quicker.

Lalas deserves to get the axe.

It didn't help to have Beckham and Donovan coming off mid-week natl. team committments and then have to play in the thin air.

looks like Trujillo and Lopez might make a difference but don't wanna extrapolate since it was just the opener.

CommunityAmerica Ballpark - a minor league baseball stadium - is the Wizards' home for the next two seasons while they build a soccer-specific stadium. It looked awkward w/ fans hanging over the net at one end of the field - not much exaggeration - and the asymmetry of left field. It could end up being a real home advantage for KC...apparently the pitch was in decent shape.

Gallardo looked pretty good in the 1st H. KC turned up the intensity to start the 2nd and got a quick goal. DC, I thought, tied it but the goal was disallowed due to offsides. Right after that...a long ball...and Trujillo lobbed it over Wells for the Wizards second goal...game over.

I expect Galaxy to struggle trying to learn from someone like Ruud Gullit. They are an automatic bet against the first 6-8 weeks.

But they will eventually get it together and be good by the end of the season and be a strong play as we get near July.

Optimistic, as LA needs help w/ their defenders and at keeper. I believe Ruiz suffered a knee sprain last night.

Yeh, RSL don't know how to close out a match. Blanco's equalizer was a nice strike though. If I recall correctly, Fire fouled inside the penalty area and got away with it. The entire match was loosely called and as result, very chippy.
