Here are some of the plays they simulated and posted today:

7/8: Tampa Bay at Cleveland, 1:05pm (ET)

SIMULATION RESULT

CLEVELAND 4, TAMPA BAY 3

The Cleveland Indians continue to add to the misery of the Tampa Bay Rays and this time it was via another close win. Our simulation calls for the Indians to lead this game 3-0 in the 3rd inning and pretty much never look back on their opponents. James Shields was brilliant in some ways against Cleveland but he lasted only 5.2 innings, he allowed 8 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 9 but much like things have been going for the Rays as of late, if it's not one thing, it's the other. Only two batters in the Indians lineup failed to get a hit (Choo and Lopez) but the rest all had at least a single. The rookie Zack McAllister had a pretty good start for the Indians lasting 6.0 innings, allowing only 5 hits and allowing 2 earned runs while striking out 7 (career high) and the entire Indians pitching staff held the Rays to only 6 hits in this game. Jose Molina had problems keeping the Indians from stealing bases (2) in this one and that was in some ways the difference as they scored some runs off those stolen bags. Indians win.

PLAY: Cleveland Indians ML -108

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Michael Brantley (Cleveland), 2-3, RBI, 3B, BB, 2 R

7/8: Atlanta at Philadelphia, 1:35pm (ET)

SIMULATION RESULT

PHILADELPHIA 4, ATLANTA 3

It was close and Jonathan Papelbon did everything he could to blow this game but the Philadelphia Phillies finally won a game according to our simulations and they did it over the rival Atlanta Braves. Hunter Pence's 3-Run blast in the bottom of the 6th inning is what put the Phillies on top 3-1 and eventually it was the difference in this game. Vance Worley who started for the Phillies pitched 6.2 innings and allowed only 4 hits and 1 ER while striking out 8 batters. Michael Bourn, Martin Prado and Jason Heyward were held to an 0 for 13 night combined and if you throw in Freddie Freeman to that group you have an 0 for 17 night overall for the 1-2-3-6 batters. Jairr Jurrjens was on the mound for Atlanta and he pitched 6.0 innings of 6 hit ball allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 7 which is not bad at all but again that 3-Run shot to Pence was the difference in this game. Simmons homered for the 3rd inning to give them a 1-0 lead but the Pence Home Run in the 6th nullified everything and Phillies finally won a game.

PLAY: Philadelphia Phillies ML -126

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Hunter Pence (Philadelphia) 2-4, HR, 3 RBI, 2B, R
