Brian McCann (foot) is back in the Yankees' starting lineup Thursday versus the Blue Jays.

McCann sat out Wednesday after taking a foul tip off his foot on Tuesday night. The veteran catcher is 9-for-18 with two homers and four RBI in five games this year. He'll hit fifth Thursday against Marcus Stroman.

Devin Mesoraco is out of the Reds' starting lineup again on Thursday night in Chicago.

Mesoraco also missed Wednesday's game, so something might be up. The 27-year-old catcher was limited to 45 at-bats last season because of a hip and injury and he is 2-for-19 (.105) to open the 2016 campaign. Tucker Barnhart will catch Raisel Iglesias on Thursday at Wrigley Field.

Justin Turner (hand) is not in the Dodgers' lineup Thursday against the Diamondbacks.

Turner took a pitch off his left hand Wednesday night. His X-rays came back negative but he's still sore. Howie Kendrick will start at third base with Austin Barnes filling in at second. Turner is day-to-day.
