When downstate racing on this circuit moves solely to Belmont Park, winter racing will be conducted exclusively over a soon-to-be-constructed synthetic track, the New York Racing Association announced Monday.

i like the synthetic surfaces. I bet Turfway a lot during the winter. But it’s not for all horses and I don’t think they should run any major stakes races normally run on dirt on synthetic. Especially the couple of Derby prep races. Will be interesting how it turns out.

I never liked synthetic at AP (RIP) though somehow have figured it out at GP, the only track I play synthetic races.

I'm with you about BEL, mixed feelings.

The BELMONT on synthetic I think not.

Yes. The synthetic track will only used during the winter meet.
