MisterMJ NCAAF Looking for that Special Sauce

This is the same method as my NFL Special Sauce thread.

1. We are looking for the College Football teams that will be most likely to have that "special sauce" against the spread this season. Qualifying by highest Margins of Victory and coming off an ATS loss to start a new streak.

And we will fade the ones that have the most negative "special sauce". Qualifying by lowest margins of Victory and coming off an ATS win to start a new streak.

2. Once a team qualifies...we ride it each week until it fails to cover.

So..we are looking for streaks of play that cover the spread.

Makes sense to me.

Play on Massachusetts +3 3:30 pm ET We are Fading Connecticut

Thats all there is this week, unfortunately Cincinnati qualified and covered but I didn't see the play in time.

This week we have Yale -4 12 pm ET (Fading Connecticut again. The streak is currently at one ATS Win W)

We also have UTexas SanAntonio UTSA -17 6pm ET (Fading Rice in hopes of a streak here)

Lastly we have Alabama -17 7pm ET (Looking for Alabama to reset after their ATS Loss and game loss and start an ATS streak)

Ok...lets get back up to speed here. Coastal Carolina failed to cover in that last pick ...so the record now goes to 5-3 overall.

Last week I was not able to post anything, partly because of the forum update and partly because I had to travel that weekend.

Anyway...lets get back into it this week.
One more important note...same as the wildly successful NFL version of this system...I am using the closing line at Covers to determine the picks wins and losses going forward. It's much easier for me and in the long run I don't think it matters.

1-3 yesterday...we go to 6-6-0 overall.

Could be worse...hopefully it finishes out strong and I will do this right through the Bowls...so we have a ways to go yet.

6-6-0 overall...looking back the week that I missed hurt the record quite a bit from missed opportunity, but thats how it goes.

I believe there is something here to go on for future use even though it's currently flat on a very small sample. This thing could still grind out a nice record by the time the Bowl season ends.
