"We're basically just wanting to make sure he's ready for (Week 1)," Jones said Tuesday. "That's where it's all headed for him. ... The risks of him getting out there and really competing at this time would I think be overruled (by) the game we have for him being completely healthy in New York." Austin has been sidelined since August 4, meaning he'll enter the regular season with zero preseason reps. It's not a huge concern for a veteran player, but Austin's chronically injured hamstring certainly is. His upside remains high, but he's a risk in fantasy drafts.

Austin practiced Saturday, Sunday, and now Monday, so he's strung together three straight practices after missing the entire preseason. Coach Jason Garrett stated over the weekend that Austin was healthy enough to play in a regular season game. He'll be a dicey, but high-upside WR3 option against the Giants.

Miles Austin (hamstring) was again a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Austin is in no danger of missing this week's game at Baltimore, but the lingering hamstring issue gives pause that he can stay healthy all season. Rotoworld ranks Austin No. 18 among fantasy receivers for Week 6.

Miles Austin (hip, hamstring) was limited to side work in Wednesday's practice.

He was officially "limited" on the injury report. Austin was in full pads, but was limited to "light training on the sideline with a trainer" once practice began. Austin pledged to "do something" on Wednesday, so this fits the bill. ESPN's Ed Werder reported Tuesday that Austin is expected to play against the Eagles, but that should be considered far from a given for the time being.

According to Bryan Broaddus of the Cowboys' official site, Miles Austin (hip, hamstring) is "going to give it a go" against the Eagles Sunday night.

As expected. Austin is officially listed as questionable, but he got in limited practices every day this week. He's on the fantasy radar as a high-risk WR3 as the third man on the totem pole behind Jason Witten and Dez Bryant. He's also shown an inability to produce at less than 100 percent. Over the last four weeks, Austin is averaging 3.7 catches for 41.5 yards with no touchdowns.
