Boy, he must know where the skeletons are buried to get all the great agendas. Golf, Football, whatever, he always gets the great assignments. I stop watching and turn the sound down when he or Brent Mussberger are featured broadcasters. Played with him last summer in a pro-am and he was a real jerk. Must have beleived press clippings. Just wanting to rant between games.Buddympar4

Tirico is one smart operator, he graduated from Syracuse University in 1988 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and broadcast journalism. He will be an anchor for ABC's 2005 golf broadcast team.

wil.

PS. Personally I have no idea what he is like.

Personally i dont care for his style. Too cool for me. Makes a mountain out of a mole hill on every F"ing" play. No need for it. He must be doing something right. Has moved up the ladder rather quickly in 17 years. Just my opinion.

have you ever been to bristol? i doubt many - if any - of the anchors live in bristol. i know where chris berman lives (or used to - city that is) and it isn't anywhere near bristol. only the P.A.'s who can't afford to live elsewhere live in bristol and most share an apartment with another P.A.

as for mike tirico - he has been suspended NUMEROUS times for sexual harrassment and if you read michael freeman's GREAT espn book - he tells of an incident in which one P.A. got fired on the spot and another suspended for sexual harrassment - but tirico who was also involved in the incident was only slapped on the wrist. i know all the details and it is 100% true. tirico also KNOWS everyone and remembers your name for a LONG time - this helps his cause.

Sherman: I meant that he has been in this position for the better part of 5 + years. If you ask me if you are a young buck and come into this industry of broadcasting and he is where hes at at his age he must of been doing something right rather early in his career. Dont care for his antics. Just my opinion either take it or leave it i dont care.

he started there in 1991 at age 24 almost fresh out of syracuse. he got there about 3 months after i did. since DAY ONE, espn (and now abc) management LOVE him - and think the world of him. he is one of their "golden boys" and hell will freeze over before they get rid of him - or let him go.

if we really wanna rip an espn "talent" how about the one with the least amount of it - Stuart Scott! this guy tried to "talk black" to the audience - 99.99% of them have NO CLUE what he is trying to say - or care. the MUTE button was invented with mumble mouth in mind. has anyone seen the ads for that "espn game station" for kids - where you can play a wide array of games? well, we got one of those for my nephew. guess who is the voice of it? you guessed it - Stuart "one eye - because he is too freaking retarded and lost the other other at a NYJ practice trying to catch a ball but because he is such an untalented jackass missed the ball and had it hit him in the eye - causing him to lose it" Scott. thankfully - just like the TV - you can MUTE scott, too. he is even worse with this stupid game - acting (or trying to at least) real "blackish" and talking like those blacks who are uneducated and don't know any better - which goes to show the "value" of a UNC degree - for mumble mouth has one - allegedly (although if i was UNC i'd never admit it).

Mike Tirico is the best prepared announcer there is period. IMO he calls a perfect game.

By the way, I spoke to John Ward about doing some voiceover work the other day for a hospital in Johnson City. He is a class act. Figured you might like that info.
