Seattle vs Tigres
- While I believe Tigres have the best club in Concacaf I know Seattle are one of the 3 best teams in MLS which is getting closer to Mexican football every year. It's a slap in the face that Tigres sent their B team (except for Elias) in the 2nd leg of a major cup quarterfinal and I hope Seattle makes them pay. The carpet that SEattle plays on is not something Mexican clubs see except when playing away to Tijuana so this is a big advantage for the Sounders. Tigres with A players dominated home leg (18-3 shots) but only won 1-0. Obviously Seattle must win the match and they have a tremendous home atmosphere and a really talented club. My concern is up top with Eddie Johnson as he cannot make a play 1v1 but is a great header of the ball. Sad that Mexicans think so little of MLS that they send a B team 3k miles to hold a 1-0 first leg lead and this, IMO, is the wrong club to do it against. Seattle are just too good to lose to a B club from Mexico (I think)

Pretty big line move on Seattle. Went from pk +108 to pk-125. I decided to place a bet on them at the current price.

Imo, Zigi should start Sammy Ochoa up front with Johnson. Put Rosales back in the midfield with Alonso, Evans and Martinez. Then bring Zackuani off the bench. When they start Rosales up front, it's almost like they are playing a 4-5-1. He needs to to take a chance on the young kid Ochoa. He's earned it.

Last I read, 18,000+ tickets sold for this game. Hopefully, they play some inspired futbol tonight and advance.

- going with Lara straight win. Lara big rest advantage both because they have only been playing regulars in Libertadores but also from Chavez's death canceling matches last week. Olimpia I predicted 4th or 5th in Paraguay and they are playing even worse than that with 3-0 hammering at rivals Nacional last week. Other than Libertad I don't see a Paraguayan team in final 8 this year. Venez teams playing well at home and Lara need 3 points here. minimum bet

- Mineiro will score as all Brazilians do in Bolivia but TS will net a pair. Both teams played very offensively in Brazil and altitude is a great equalizer. Atletico too much talent to be shut out and this game has 3-2 or 2-2 written on it

Nice pick, rolltide. I don't think I would have placed a bet, if I hadn't read your post. I always get down on them after a tough loss.


I've never seen the Sounders score with that kind of quality from long range before. Even though it was Tigres' second team, that was still an amazing comeback.
