You can either buy the Microsoft Office suite (roughly $200ish(?)) or download Open Office, which is free and does pretty much the exact same thing.

OK, I just did this and doanloaded. THANKS. Now it is on my desktop with a lot of other info. What brings me to WORD?? How do I open? Thanks.
