The possibility exists that the Miami-Florida State college football game, scheduled for Friday night at the Orange Bowl, could be called off for a second time.

Miami athletic director Paul Dee told the Palm Beach Post that he would be in contact Tuesday with officials from the ACC, Florida State and ABC, which is televising the game to a national audience. The game, originally scheduled for Monday night, was postponed Friday because of Hurricane Frances projections.

"We're just going to have to see where we're at," Dee told the newspaper. "We'll have to see where the storm is likely to be and then we would take all of that into consideration. We're not going to put anybody in harm's way."

Tough series to predict.. Last 12 games each team is 6-6 ats, and su.. O/u is even as well.. I'd have to lean to taking the points in any Fl in state game, but its a pass in my mind..

I'm a huge Hurricane fan. I've loved kicking the Semiholes asses over the last five or six years (you lose track after a while). However, I think this year is the Semiholes year to take it. Alot of valid reasons here;

Miami has lost 15 players in the last three years in the first round of the NFL.

Brock Berlin isn't nearly as good as Rix. Let me rephrase that, Rix isn't nearly as bad as Brock Berlin.

The Semiholes will be playing for Bobby Bowden in the memory of his grandson killed in hurricane Francis.

But one thing I've noticed over the last five years or so is that the home team is at a competitive disadvantage. Don't know why, but the visitor always plays better. Two years ago FSU outplayed Miami for three and a half quarters, Miami got back in it in the final five minutes or so only to watch FSU miss another (yes another) field goal to lose.

As much as I hate to say it, I think the above factors give FSU a 10-14 point revenge win. OUCH!!!

The Canes have to start feeling the effects of losing 6-7 people to the draft for the past couple of years. I know they say big schools reload instead of rebuild but I just don't see how it can continue. Granted Rix hasn't impressed me at all but I think FSU gets the win here.

This is the same crew that hosed Florida last year. Anyone remember The Swindle In The Swamp? The ACC will not let the new bully on the block besmirch The Reverend Bobby-Jimmy Swaggert-Bowden this time. If F$U loses this game, it will be the Third loss to Miami in less than 1 calendar year. I like Miami but I will not play them until I see who officiates the game. Forewarned is forearmed. LT

Will agree that Brock Berlin can look scared out there but once he gets his head out of his ass and lets his talent take over can be incredible...see Fla game last year....Still think Miami lost too much on defense to stop a strong ground game for FSU...and this is coming from Canes fan
