Miami vs Boston on 05/17 by Jay_Robinson

This is about as classic a contrarian bet as you’ll find in the NBA. The No. 2 Celtics (57-25 SU, 45-36-1 ATS during the regular season) are certainly a more talented team on paper than the No. 8 Heat (44-38 SU, 31-49-2 ATS), but FiveThirtyEight only project Boston as a 6-point home favorite using their RAPTOR formula, giving us 2.5 points between the projections and the actual odds to work with.

It helps that Miami was able to put away the New York Knicks in six games during the Eastern semifinals. The Celtics needed the full seven to eliminate the Philadelphia 76ers, and they’ll be feeling the after-effects this Wednesday.
