I just don't get why the total is this high.
Virginia needed turnover fortune to go their way to exceed 17 points against Syracuse.
They otherwise only exceeded 17 points against Old Dominion.
So Miami will need to do a lot of scoring.
But the Hurricanes' starting quarterback is injured, and his backup is a freshman who has been shaky against FBS competition in what little playing time he has accumulated.
Virginia's defense, anyhow, seems to have turned a corner after limiting Georgia Tech to nine points last week despite the Cavalier offense repeatedly failing to rest its team's defense by sustaining drives.
