Thank you guys. I was expecting more from Santos, even though Americas golie Ochoa saved them more than 4 times for clear chances of goal. Santos did in 5 minutes what they did not do in 80 min of the game. Anyways easy winner there. Tapa I hope I do this on the regular basis as well, it doesnt matter how much knowledge you have on the Mexican soccer league, it is so unpredictable. I think we should all keep an eye on this america team, I think they will get stronger as the apertura advances.

Thank you. About Pumas is to early to discart any team in this apertura, Pumas does have alot of young players that are just coming up now, so its a process. Their new striker Dante López made his debut with a goal, but I think he needs more time to get to know his team mates in the field. I guess we have to wait and see how things go.

Oh no doubt el pocho is a great player, to me he is the motor of that team, just came back from a long time off due to injury and already responded with a goal, this Apertura is looking good for America already. Dont doubt Santos by any chance, they are a great team as well the lost against America means nothing, theres still many more games. Ludueña should be coming back soon as well.

Tapa what do you think about tonights game for the Superliga? I am 95% sure that the winner of this game between Dynamo and Pachuca will take this Superliga. This were the two teams that were on the finals last year, it should be a great game.

08/01/08 Tecos vs Chivas

First match of the second round, Tecos comes from a win and Chivas from a tie. Both teams are in the same group and have to start adding points to obtain the pass to the liguilla. In their last five matches face to face Chivas has no wins against Tecos. Another fact take in count is that Chivas has not been able to win at Tecos home since Apertura 2003, thats a long time!!! The public is pounding hard on Chivas, line last night was at +155 for Chivas to win and right now its at +125. This is a really hard game to have a pick for. I would rather stay away from sides and just pick the over 2.5 at -145 if I had to have some accion, but since I dont Ill just stay away. BOL.

Good post Pro.

I sitll think I'm going to go with Chivas (Pick) -140 buy playing it cautiously.

I just think they can pull of the victory considering it's not much of an away game since the game is being played in Jalisco so the fan distribution should be among the same between the two teams.

I also think Chivas looked sharper in their tie against a tough Cruz Azul side, than Tecos did in their 1-0 win against the weak Indios.

Should be a fun one to watch though and GL with you picks.

I undestand what you are saying, if I had to pick sides Id pick Chivas too for sure. Another thing to keep in mind is that Chivas has 6 players that were included in Sven-Göran Eriksson list for the national team, most times this players really dont play with heart for their team (Chivas), because they want to be in the best condition possible to play for the national team game that is just ahead. Anyway, best of luck on your pick. Theres alot of value on it.

Chivas is a big dissapointment seriously. They are a men up since minute 28 and still Tecos is having more changes to score.:smoking:

Cruz Azul vs Tecos- 08-09-08

This should be an interesting game. Both teams in the same group, Tecos sits on 1st place with 2 wins in 2 games played, and Cruz Azul sits in 3rd place with 1 tie, 1 win and 1 lost, obviously with 3 games played. Cruz Azul is in desperate need of a win at home on saturday, they will be leaving on tuesday of next week to Spain to participate on the Teresa Herrera tournament, a win on saturday will have the team a bit more relaxed when they come back to Mexico to continue with the apertura.

Tecos in the other hand with a very good defense that proved itself last game against Chivas, they were down a man since minute 28 in the first half did not allow any goals and finished winning the game 1-0. They will be missing Joel Sánchez(defense) due to red card but Adrián Cortés should do a good job replacing him.

My pick is Cruz Azul to win. I just feel like they really need it and they will come out with everything to win in front of they fans at home.
