I think George Bush is doing an excellent job.

These times since he was elected have been extremely difficult for any president. The economy tanks the foreign affairs have seldom if ever been so challenging ( War in afganistan and iraq and a god awful and as yet unresoved and extremely dangerous nuclear standoff in korea). Not to mention the awful terrorist attack on 9-11. I would not trade for anything to be the president of the USA for these past years and have to deal with such nightmares.

Bush has done an admirable job in these trying times, I don't always agree with him and the
" patriot act ( puke)" is revolting but Bush has done an admirable job during trying times.

Dean is only worth his pledge to revoke the "patriot" act. in all other ways, he is a complete wackjob.

I despise the "patriot" act and would like to see its removal. Bush will not do this, but this does not validate a vote for Dean. Dean is an utter nutball who cannot beat Bush.

Bush will demolish Dean in an election should it come to those two. It will be ugly. I almost wish Dean could win just to repeal the
" patriot" act which is insane.

Surely you know that I disagree. I suspect our two differences will lie Iraq and the economy. No need to elablote on those - it's all been said (over and over and over and over .. lol).

I though Bush did a GREAT job imediately after 9/11, but I swear to you my jaw dropped when he uttered "we know exactly who did this". I thought that was an outright lie, and I still believe it to be.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Dean that much, but look at the choices -

I think Gephardt is the most honest - but he wants to raise taxes & increase spending. Right, we don't a big enough probablem with the debt.

Sharpton, Mosely, & Kucinich have ZERO chance. I would NEVER vote for the 1st two. And I wouldn't vote for or against Kucinich (it's a waste of time).

Lieberman is a Republican with a Dem name tag. Fine, but why lie about it? We have enough liars in DC.

Kerry just won't cut it. He, like Dean, is a New England politician & that just isn't going to get enough votes.

So, for me it's Dean by default. I hate all of the candidates, but at least he's promising to get rid of this EVIL Patriot Act (and surely send Nazis like Wolfowitz & Ashcroft far, far away).

That said, New England politicians cannot beat GWB. Just won't happen IMO.

the idea of sending Ashcroft far far away, it sounds so enticing.

I honestly think Bush will ( As Lieberman says) win 49 states against Dean.

The old saw is 40% of voters will vote for the democratic candidate, no matter who he is.

40% will vote for the republican canditade, no matter who he is.

The remaining 20% decide the election. They will really listen to each side and vote their conscience.

I like Bushes chances in such a scenario. The democratic candidates are too odd to beat him. As much as many people don't like him, I think George W. would beat up on Dean in one on one debates. Dean has made too many easily exploitable statements.

That being said, I agree with your anti-"patriot" act ways. We probably have little in common in political views, its amazing the rainbow that is against the "patriot" act.

Ben Frankin, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock et all would roll over in their graves if they saw a copy of the "patriot" act. Even the name is disgusting.

Bull,
Over a year later there are still questions regarding the Saudi's involement, Iraqs connection & whether there was even going to be a 5th hijacking that went bad.

Too many questions to "know exactly who".
