The strip sucks, I was there in January I’ll probably never set foot on the strip again, unless it’s to show my wife, never gambling there again

Don't etch that opening date in stone. More excited about the Circa downtown as it will be adults only. Finally, a casino that understands people who like Las Vegas. Besides that, they are supposed to have a great sportsbook.

Yep. Clearly there have been projects in Vegas that have sat idle far longer than their original opening date. I do like that they are starting to extend the strip to clean up the "dark side". I too am excited about the Circa (especially that 4000 seat sportsbook).

Trying to get people to migrate north, but the SLS already failed...they hope bringing back the Sahara brand will re-ignite interest. The STRAT renamed themselves with a big PR push to no avail. Locals don't go there because they don't live there and any visitor with a map knows enough to stay south. Let's see how these new properties do especially since they will be appealing to Asians. Circa is supposed to open this year and reports indicate they are on-schedule. Might be a reason to actually go downtown.

SLS failing isn't surprising. That place is such a pit. I checked it out on one of my trips and played a couple of hours. They shot me some comps and I had a stay over in route to Austin on one of my trips where I was figuring out if I wanted to live in Texas. Their rooms are really subpar as are their amenities. I can't say much for Circus Circus or the Stratosphere either. This looks like a solid property so it will interesting to see if this is the one that finally breaks through.
